We explain the technology behind modern life.
Tech changes quickly. The explanations around it often feel complicated,
foreign, or disconnected from how people actually work and live.
Techmin exists to bridge that gap through clear articles, practical tips, honest product
guidance, and stories from Africa’s growing technology ecosystem.
We started Techmin because too much tech content written "for Africa" was really just global
content with a local intro
paragraph bolted on. A guide to freelancing that assumes PayPal works everywhere. A
productivity article that assumes
stable power and unlimited data. A startup story that never mentions CAC registration or a
bank's actual onboarding
process.
We wanted something that started from Lagos, Nairobi, Accra and other parts of Africa, not adapted to them.
WHAT GUIDES US
Simple principles. Useful work.
Clarity first
We replace unnecessary jargon with language people can understand and use.
We'd rather explain a concept five different ways than use one impressive sentence. If
a JAMB candidate in Ibadan can't
follow it, we rewrite it.
Practical value
Every article should help someone decide, learn, solve, or build something better.
Every article ends with something you can actually do today, not just something to think
about.
African context
We tell technology stories with our realities, opportunities, and ambitions in view.
We write about WhatsApp Business before Slack, CAC registration before LLCs, and
exchange-rate reality before abstract
'global markets.
OUR MISSION
Make technology simple for everyday Africans and help more people confidently participate in the digital future.
